3rd Alarm Fire, Chenango Dr.

Shortly after 7:00pm companies were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the 5600blk of Chenango Dr., in the township. Engine 46 was enroute within 3 minutes of the dispatch, NC911 advising they were receiving multiple calls. While enroute Engine 46 had a visible smoke column and upgraded the assignment to a 2nd Alarm. Fire Police Lt. 4692 arrived confirming a working fire.

Engine 46 arrived on scene of a 2 story single family with heavy fire from the garage. A 2 1/2" hose line was deployed to start knocking the fire. Captain 46 arrived and assumed command.

Additional resources arrived and mutual aid crews assisted with fire suppression operations and ventilation.

Cause is under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal’s Office.
