Shortly before 4:30am companies were dispatched for a reported high occupancy fire in the 7000blk of Beth-Bath Pk. in the township. NC911 advised Chief 15 and 46 they were receiving multiple 911 calls. Chief 15 advised he had a smoke column while enroute, Chief 46 upgraded the assignment to a 2nd alarm.

Chief 15 arrived and confirmed a working fire and passed command to Chief 46. The rear of the structure was well involved with fire including multiple vehicles.

Initial companies made entry to the 2nd floor and knocked the bulk of the fire down, however conditions on the exterior were not favorable. Crews were ordered out of the building to regroup. 2nd alarm companies arrived, with the additional resources crews made entry again.

With the help of drones, we were able to located pockets of heat and hidden fire in a void space between the 1st and 2nd floors. Crews worked for 6 hours to extinguish the fire and overhaul the building to ensure the fire was out.

Cause is under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal’s Office.
